Bunker Feedback

This week (27/01/2023) the new bunkers on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd holes have been carefully filled with sand, compacted down, raked and tested ready for opening this weekend.  With members feedback from the opening of the bunkers on 17, we have added a little less sand to ensure consistent performance from a variety of positions.  We intend to smooth rake the faces of the bunkers and teeth rake the bases to ensure balls roll into the base of the bunker as designed.  Please be considerate to others in trying to keep a consistent raking style.

Where every effort has been made to ensure a consistent surface, we welcome member feedback so we can address any early issues or experiences as we continue to adapt to this new style of bunkering.  We know that without doubt, the drainage, aesthetics and maintenance of these bunkers are far superior to what we currently have and this weekend will be another step towards a more consistent and enjoyable playing surface all year round here at Chippenham Golf Club.
