Following your application, you will receive an invitation to meet with the Captain for a brief, informal interview.
A condition of your Membership of Chippenham Golf Club will be your agreement under the Data Protection Act 1984 to the Club recording these details and those relating to handicaps and subscription payment on computer. Personal files will be available for inspection by prior arrangement with the Secretary.

| Club Rule 14: Election of Members |
14.1 |
Candidates for election shall sign an Application Form undertaking to comply with the Rules & Bye Laws of the Club MEMBERS, and their names shall be posted in the Clubhouse for at least two weeks prior to consideration for membership. All new Applicants to the club without a current handicap certificate will be interviewed by at least two members of the Membership Sub Committee and must play a full round of golf with the Captain/Lady Captain or their delegate, who shall be an elected officer of the Club, for instruction in local rules and etiquette. |

Membership of the Club shall be open to anyone interested in golf on application regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs. However, limitation of membership according to available facilities is allowable on a non-discriminatory basis. |
14.3 |
No candidate shall be elected unless he obtains a simple majority of votes of the Membership Sub Committee present at the meeting. |
14.4 |
On election, the Secretary Manager shall notify the candidate in writing, enclosing a copy of the rules and a notice to pay the entrance fee, if any, and first subscription. If payment of these amounts is not made within one calendar month, the membership application shall be void, unless the applicant can give sufficient reason for such delay to the satisfaction of the Club Secretary. |

A member paying his first subscription is considered to have submitted themselves to the rules, regulations and bye-laws of the Club, a copy of which shall be issued to them. Any increase in the subscription proposed by the Membership Sub Committee shall be notified to the members by means of a notice posted on the Club noticeboard, at least six weeks before it is due to be implemented. If any member has failed to pay monies due to the Club by 31 May, his membership shall be deemed to have terminated, and he shall have to re-apply for membership according to the rules of the Club. |
